Prajanan is reproduction. The process of reproduction in its healthiest form is called as Suprajanan. Suprajanan consists of reproductive health care, preconception counselling, garbhini paricharya(antenatal care) and sootika paricharya (Postnatal care) which cover all aspects of of pregnancy nutrition, protection and regulation of biological clock are high on agenda. According to Ayurveda four factors are essential for conception namely seed (beej-ovum & sperm), soil (reproductive tract), season (fertile period), water (nutrition) in appropriate combination. Infertility refers to an inability to get pregnant even after a year of unprotected intercourse, or a female who is unable to carry pregnancy till 9 months.
Irregular periods, PCOD, Endometriosis, Tubal block, uterine fibroids, low AMH levels, stress are the female factors of infertility.
Low sperm count, low motility of sperms are common causes of male infertility.

Specially prepared washed sperms sample in transferred directly in to the uterine cavity with the help of thin plastic canula at the time of ovulation, is called as Intrauterine Insemination (IUI). In IVF (In Vitro Fertilization), oocytes (female gamete) and sperms (male gamete) are fertilized outside of the body and then the resultant embryo is transferred (ET) to uterine cavity. The technique of the injection of the sperm in the cytoplasm of the oocytes is called as ICSI, A particular IVF cycles fails when the embryo fails to implant in the uterus, so the process of implantation is very crucial in the reproductive physiology. Adenomyosis/ Endometriosis
Endometrial layer is the innermost layer of the uterus.
When the endometrial tissue grows outside the endometrium, it's called as endometriosis.
And when it grows in the muscular layer of the uterus it is called adenomyosis.
It causes painful periods.
The most common complaint of gynac OPD is white discharge period vagina. But it can be normal just before and after periods and in mid periods.
When it is excessive and associated with itching irritation, foul smell, burning, weakness, pain in abdomen and backache, it has to be examined and treated.
Fungal and protozoal infections are the common cause of vaginal infections;
another common cause is cervical erosion. It causes irritation and redness to the cervix. It may cause intermenstrual bleeding and spotting.
According to Ayurveda obesity is one of the eight undesirable constitutions. Obesity is the condition in which body fat is accumulated in excess quantity. It may create negative impact on health obesity increases the likelihood of type 2 diabetes, cardiac problems, blood pressure. osteoarthritis. Body mass index is the subject’s weight in kg divided by square of height in meters. When BMI is less than 18.5 the person is underweight when the BMI is between 18.5 to 24.5 it is considered as normal but when BMI is more than 25 it is called as overweight and when BMI is more than 30 it is called as obesity.

Adolescent period is very important as far as future reproductive health is concerned. As the fragrance in bud is latent and manifests only when the flower blooms, Puberty is the same event. Puberty is the time in life when a girl or boy becomes mature for reproduction. Puberty creates physical anatomical and behavioural changes in child. Girl develops breasts and start their periods and boys develop a deeper voice and start to look like men. Puberty is more impactful in case of girl child because a woman not only provides the seed but also the uterine bed and nutrition for future progeny. Children will begin puberty either very early that is before the age of eight or very late means after 14 years of age should see a doctor to rule out any underlying medical cause.
Natural and permanent stoppage of periods for a complete year is called as menopause. Palpitations, anxiety, depression, irritability, mood swings, hot flushes, menstrual irregularities, heavy bleeding are the common complaints during menopausal period.
Menopausal changes ay give rise to joint pain, heart problems and weight gain. Menopause is a gradual process and precipitates symptoms in pre, peri and post-menopausal period. 45 to 55 is the average age for menopause.
